So Far!

Hi everyone!

This is my literal first ever blog! Thinking it might be a good way for everyone to get to know me seeing as I'm elusive on social media and I hate having my picture taken! Im also not very good at doing videos, introducing myself or keeping up with the latest trends.

I am however, good at writing, and I can write a lot! It's easier for me to type than to film which it doesn't help when I have Instagram and reels etc!

So........about me!

My name is Dani (clue is in the name lol) and I have been married for ages (my husband is better at dates) and we have a 13 year old daughter who is my world. I work full time as an administrator and I do my art on the side. Before all the AI rubbish and economy plummet I did do art full time and it was wonderful to be doing what I loved but needs must and I had to get a 'proper' job.

I've been drawing since I could hold a pencil, I've never known anything any different. It's a 'natural' talent I suppose, I have just honed it over the years. My favourite things to draw are eyes. Windows to the soul. I'm told I'm very good at it. I will draw literally anything and I will try any new style or product to see what happens.

I am proud of the fact I have been a business owner for nearly 9 years and other than my daughter, is the greatest achievement of a pretty emotionally unstable life. It started as a coping mechanism and therapy and it just snowballed into a massive achievement for me.

I am writing a children's book. This is my childhood dream and I'm basing it on the other loves of my life, my rats. The most misunderstood animals I believe. I have drawn all my rats past and present and put them into dream bubbles that I hope will lessen the stigma of them to children and see how wonderful they actually are.

I can also ramble about history, between 1000 and 1700 are my specialist areas for no other reason that I'm a massive geek and hyper fixate on a subject! I believe my other calling in life was to be a tour guide at the Tower of London!

I will get the hang of this blog stuff eventually but for now il probably use it to update on things with me and my work and my projects, so if it's something you'd like to hear more about and laugh at (I can be quite funny at times) then follow along!

All my love

D
